Movie Research : Five Nights at Freddy's

What conventions of the genre did the movie have that you like? Although the movies conventions were nothing special it did have some that I did like. The movie constantly cut to flashbacks of the main characters past. Which with every flashback helped develop the story a little more each time. At the same time setting up characters for the final fight scene of the movie. Another convention I liked was the Low- Key lighting. This was mostly used in the abandoned arcade scenes throughout the movie. This added to the spookiness and ominousness of the whole atmosphere. What conventions of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you and you are thinking of not filming for your final task? Some Conventions the movie had that didn't appeal to me were extreme close ups. The extreme close- ups were over used in my opinion and largely misplaced. They're were a few scenes where I feel like a close up or even medium close up should've been used instead. What conventions of

I've seen both high and low camera angles frequently in this genre; nevertheless, high perspectives are more prevalent because they effectively portray shock and terror in thrillers. In thrillers, dutch angles are also commonly used to create a sense of unease or impending doom. Zooms are sometimes employed with eye-level angles to convey tension or emotion; for instance, the angle could be used to depict fear in someone's eyes. The most common type of camera movement in thrillers I've observed is tracking, which can imply someone is following. Zooms are also utilized since they might appear manufactured or unnatural, which makes them ideal for suspenseful films. Tracking and zooms appear to be more popular, but pans and tilts are also utilized to display scenes and persons. Establishing shots, broad shots, medium close-ups, long shots, medium shots, close-ups, extreme close-ups, aerial shots, two-shots, and over-the-shoulder shots are among the camera angles I have seen i

Pitch blog

A group of friends that went on a trip and gets killed one by one they have to figure out who’s the killer before it’s too late. Pitch A discussion: I would want to do pitch A because I think it would be a funny movie. Despite the pitch we have the potential to add some comedy within the film. I also like how the movie doesn't take too much extra props or costumes to create it. All settings used can be easily found within our group making things easy. I also think we won't to act as hard in this film and just have to act natural. Pitch B discussion : While I do enjoy cowboys and old western settings and shows. I can already see how difficult making this film would be. Even if it was just the first two minutes on the screen. The setting alone would be hard to portray accurately. Let alone the props and costumes needed . The pitch seems fun but is just too much for our group to perform. Our final decision : Since we cannot accurately display a old western setting we have went wit

Group blog final task

Hey blog worlddd! Im excited to be doing this group assignment of our final task. I’ll be working with Aurum Hollaway and Tiyana Smith. We will be working together to create a music video. We will decide where we would want to film. The beach, museum, or a park are what we have in mind. We are still a bit indecisive of out song choice but we are leaning more towards “Great Gatsby” by Rod Wave. This is personally my favorite song. Tiyana and I both love the song and the artist so it wasn’t hard agreeing to this song choice. Aurum on the other hand isn’t a big fan but became on board with the song choice after a bit of convincing. The song was a great choice. I feel as if the lyrics or very deep. It’ll also be easy to act out in tue music video because of the lyrics. We are excited to be working together. Us as a group clicked instantly. As days go by we grow closer as becoming friends.
